About Us

The Butler Center for Business and Economic Research

The Butler Center is an applied research center in the Turner College of Business at Columbus State University. We opened in August 2011 with the vision of becoming a leader in the economic development of the Chattahoochee Valley region by providing objective business and economic analysis. We provide timely, highly quality and affordable products including policy analysis, economic impact analysis, market analysis, forecasting and cost/benefit analysis.

Our Mission...

  • To facilitate, coordinate, and be a focal point of the Turner College of Business's regional economic research and development activities.

Our Main Goals...

  • To collect, analyze and generate economic and demographic data on our local region.
  • To conduct economic research that will inform public policy and business decision making.
  • To support student academic development in the area of business and economic research
